I visited this facility on a number of occasions and was very impressed by the layout of the centre, the warmth and efficiency of the reception staff, and the very brief waiting time to see a consultant. The whole experience was an example of the NHS at its best and a credit to all the staff involved. The consultations were informal but very professional and I was able to discuss my treatment at length. Before the government starts taking apart the NHS, this Centre should be compulsory viewing for all those involved in decision-making so that they can use it as a model for their future policies
