I was admitted to the LGI for an ablation last year. The staff were absolutely lovely - couldn't do enough for me. My only minor complaint was that my procedure wasn't done until the afternoon, despite having to be there at 8am and having fasted for some time before. It would be have been nice if I had some kind of idea that I would be waiting for a while. However, the staff were very understanding and kept checking to make sure I was ok. There were some very rude and aggressive patients around and they kept their cool, which was commendable. I also really appreciated the fact that they allowed me to leave that day, even though I wasn't out of surgery until 6pm In the run up to my ablation, I had to visit the hospital several times and on each occasion, staff were charming, accommodating and kind. The whole experience of having the procedure was made a lot easier by them.
