"I have no idea why TRAQS has even been created"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

My GP said that I would be referred to dermatology but didn't say how it would happen or be managed.

I have no idea why TRAQS has even been created. This appears to me to be just another job creation scheme that introduces a layer of bureaucracy into the NHS.

Referrals have happened much more efficiently in the past and at much less cost.

Sorry, but I'm not at all impressed.

I am sorry that your view of TRAQS appears to be negative. TRAQS receives your referral from your GP and will action the referral according to your GP's instructions. Once the referral has been processed we would have contacted you to offer you the earliest bookable appointment or a choice of hospital that you prefered. TRAQS was set up at the request of GPs who felt patients deserved to have choice of where they could have their treatment. The system ensures that you have that choice and that you are seen without undue delay. Your GP should have given you a leaflet which explains your referral process.

Nevertheless we appreciate all feedback whether it is positive or negative.
