"No explanation as to the new TRAQs system"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

Doctor said he would make a referral on 6 March 2013. No explanation as to the new TRAQs system and the first I heard was your letter dated 2 April 2013.

A follow up phone call was received on 6 April and an appointment confirmed for 24 April 2013.

Big gap between doctors visit and TRAQs contact, but I do not know whether this was due to the doctors surgery or TRAQs.

Everything else was very good and I am now using my hearing aids.

Thank you for writing to us to provide feedback on your recent experience of TRAQS service.

We rely on your GP to inform you of TRAQS service and issue a leaflet outlining the procedures. I'm sorry that you experienced some delay before our initial contact but, as you will appreciate TRAQS is unable to contact you until we receive a referral request from your GP. Nevertheless, I am glad that you have now been seen and are benefiting from your new hearing aids.
