Anything else?
My Mother in Law has recently been admitted to Pinderfields Hospital, she collapsed 15th May and was transported by ambulance to Pinderfields. On the Friday of that week Pinderfields staff (Gate 20) were happy to send her home as she had told them she was alright, clearly you could see she was not medically fit to come home and we had to refuse due to lack of home care, after a CT Scan she was told that she had a collapsed lung, second one in two years and a chest infection, there was nothing more they could do and she would be better off at home, no reason why or how, what to do when she came home, how long she would be ill, what further care should we give, no reasons why she has lost 2 stone in 8 weeks, why she cannot stand un aided just that she will be better off at home! It took 3 days of speaking to doctors and nurses and still no clear answers have been given, one doctor even stated they were not experienced enough to answer. The level of care in this hospital was disgraceful, the nurses were attentive but the doctors couldn't wait to get rid. She is now in a care home and having to go through more investigatiions to find out why she is in the state she is but why couldn't Pinderfield hospital sort this out while she was there already in their care? This hospital is clearly under staffed there are nurses running about all over the place trying to do 10 jobs at once, does nobody realise that it is only a matter of time before some medical staff make a fatal mistake, nurses are clearly overworked and need more support, they don't have time to care it's hurrendous, you wouldn't treat animals like this! I will be making an official complaint regarding this in the very near future appauling.
"Poor communication, no diagnosis appauling care!!"
