Anything else?
I had unfortunately to attend Basildon Hospital A & E on Bank Holiday, but very fortunate that it was Basildon and not another hospital. From the first minute of entering A & E to eventually leaving the hospital approximately 4 hours later I could not find any fault with the manner in which I was dealt with. As an older gentleman who attended with my daughter and my wife I was treated with dignity throughout. I was treated with the utmost respect by everyone from reception to nurses to doctors and even the tea lady. I have read in the newspapers recently about all the problems that Basildon Hospital has been having and was really concerned about attending and in particular on a bank holiday. I need not have worried. I was a little nervous being an older gentleman of being treated with lack of dignity. It was far from it. I was treated with the utmost care and everything that was happening was explained to me at all stages. Yes I was there for approximately 4 hours but I understood this. I didn't have to wait for 4 hours to be seen. I was seen within 3 minutes of attending to reception and was receiving treatment with 5 to 10 minutes. I felt that if I was a private patient or a member of the Royal family I would not have received any better service. Thank you to all members of the staff who do a brilliant job with not much thanks. . I arrived at the hospital feeling very down and nervous not knowing what to expect. I left 4 hours later feeling great and on top of the World. That is all thanks to all you lovely people. Thank you and God Bless.
