Diagnosis of my condition took place on the Surgical Assessment Unit. The staff on the ward were all very kind and helpful. Diagnosis was slowed down by a CT scanner being out of operation. Once diagnosed I was soon in surgery and the problems repaired. I made my way via Intensive care and HDU to ward 11 where all the staff where very helpful and made every effort to support me in my recovery. But, I must comment on the accommodation in ward 11 side room, door number 49, this room is not fir for purpose with the air-conditioning not being able to to be regulated, this results in a person being cold all the time in the room, not a good aid t recovery. Apart from this I was looked after well by all who had an involvement in my recovery
"Well run ward"
