"Lack of hygiene at Hereford Hospital"

About: Hereford County Hospital

Anything else?

My mother was admitted to Leadon Ward on 25 April prior to scheduled surgery on 1 May. She was found to be carrying MRSA so was given a private room & bathroom. She was to be washed head to toe with an MRSA solution each day. This was not done once but I myself did it on day 3 and left the used towels on the floor of the bathroom. They were still there on day 6, despite a specific request the day before for clean ones. This was quite shocking for us, and for my mother. We have other concerns about the care provided and will be writing a formal letter regarding these but I feel the issue surrounding the MRSA to be extremely serious and of public concern.
