"My mother was critically ill. ..."

About: Northwick Park Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My mother was critically ill. A&E was excellent, nurses very calm and helpful.

Nurses on the ward were excellent, no complaints with standard of care, cleanliness or helpfulness. Nothing was too much trouble, and her passing was as good as anyone could have wished for under the circumstances.

What could be improved

Only problem was with the reg who needed me to convince him to set up a syringe pump for her. Educate all surgical staff in palliative care and the Liverpool Gold Standard, Care of the Dying Pathway.
