I attended for gall bladder removal 10 days ago and cannot praise the unit or the staff highly enough. I met all the key staff (nurse, anaesthetist, surgeon) before the operation and again afterwards, and didn't have to wait long for the procedure. Afterwards I felt very unwell for a few hours but the staff were very reassuring as well as efficient in routine checks. They did their job not only professionally but with a great deal of kindness and humanity. The ward was very clean, all procedures worked efficiently (including changing the date of the operation beforehand). Overall first rate.
