My father passed away in ward 1 last night after a long illness and after being admitted suddenly last Saturday. I cannot praise the staff of this unit enough. They are professionals who bring courtesy, efficiency and effectiveness to their work. My Dad was in the best of hands until the end. I want to particularly thank and commend the Sister and their team and a host of other colleagues who never ceased to put the interests of my Dad first and us as a family, ensuring everybody's needs were met. It was a terrible time for us all, which turned out to have ended the very very best way it could with my Dad saying goodbye surrounded by friends and family being taken care of by the best medical staff I've ever had the pleasure to meet.
