First must say had excellent care previously even though staff were busy, mind you was not in much discomfort. This February was in really bad pain, lower abdomen and with injured painful foot. Twelve hours sat on chair in pain, one hour on trolley and then it was needed. Another patient told staff twice that I was in lots of pain. Was eventually given Buscopan to take and sent home in ambulance still in pain. Home less than 10 mins when had gush rectal blood. Called Go to Doc advised to go back at once.
Staff not pleased but placed in cubicle this time. Attitude left a lot to be desired. Pads were 2-3 paper towels, Staff didn't check blood loss. Eventually after struggling to toilet with painful foot, rang bell to show staff soggy pad. They didn't look in toilet pan to see rest. Did have small solution via drip, no idea what it was.
Hours later sent to waiting room to rest on chairs for more hours, still in pain and dragging myself to toilet. I appreciated it when observant nurse opened door a couple of times and when observation room free, nurse spoke to me nicely. I even thanked her for being pleasant. Foot injured in hospital still making me unable to use much, lower abdominal problem improved.
"Reaction to changed antinflammatory."
