Thank you for providing feedback on your experience with us highlighting your concerns regarding the cost of the provision of maternity care for overseas visitors. We value all comments sent to us and look at ways of incorporating them in helping to improve the patient’s experience. The Hillingdon Hospital’s Maternity service does not offer private care as an option. However we have a process that, for any overseas patient not entitled to receive free NHS care, enables us to legally reclaim the costs of any treatment or care provided. Although this may appear expensive, it allows us to continue to provide care to all, regardless of status. Although the Trust sets its own tariff for this service we will undertake a review of the costs to ensure they are in line with current recommendations. We wish you both well for the future.
