Anything else?
I recently moved to Streatham and haven't had a chance to register at a GP yet, and as I was suffering from a sore throat and ear ache and had to fly to Spain the next day, I needed it checked. After 2 hours of waiting in the combined walk-in-centre and A&E I was told to come back later. I did so and still waited around even having set an appointment. I explained to the GP that I have a history of middle-ear infection. They were very abrupt and dismissive and insisted that nothing was wrong. Persisting symptoms forced me to go to a GP in Spain. They were shocked that I was told nothing was wrong with me as by that stage I had tonsillitis and an ear infection. It's truly shocking that the first GP failed to diagnose two very obvious problems.
Furthermore, whilst waiting in A&E I noticed some appalling service. A wet floor was left unattended for hours. A woman with a diarrhetic baby was left waiting for ages. And in the queue where you get assessed, a young man who cut his arm and hand open during football was made to wait for a woman with a sore ankle.
"Avoid it and go somewhere else right away"
