My laparoscopy procedure for a fibroid removal was cancelled twice.

The first time - 22nd of March - they told me they had to cancel it because the surgeon was sick ... no replacement available.

This morning - 14th of May - I got to Barnet Hospital at 7:00 am for my procedure, spoke to several nurses and to two anaesthetists, ... I was ready to go to the surgery theatre when this guy showed up and told me that I could not have my laparoscopy procedure because ... there is no machinery for laparoscopy at Barnet Hospital!

I asked to be referred immediately to another hospital ... this guy said it was not possible and I had to do it via my GP ...

My gynocologist clearly told me (in November!) that my fibroid could be removed by laparoscopy after speaking to one of your surgeons ...

If you don't find a solution to my problem in the next 24 hours you are going to be in big trouble .... this email will go to the press.

You are no longer fooling me so do not even think to come up with another excuse.

As an organisation we are committed from learning from specific issues and from any mistakes we have made. Hearing about where we can do better helps us to pinpoint where exactly to make improvements to the service we provide.

It is unfortunate that you have been cancelled on 2 occasions.
