"Took nearly 3 weeks to receive an appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

The Cottage Case Physio team are excellent and physio is good.

However, it took nearly 3 weeks to receive an appointment and I rang to obtain it before your letter.

Considering I was in exasperating pain in my neck and back this booking referral system is too long.

I am sorry that you had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment at Newport Cottage Hospital physiotherapy clinic. However, this is not within TRAQS control as the clinics are managed by the physio team at Newport Cottage Hospital. The wait for a routine appointment does fluctuate depending upon the number of patients waiting for treatment and the number of physiotherapists available to treat the patients.

As I am sure you can appreciate this sometimes means that patients have to wait a little longer than they would like due to circumstances beyond TRAQS control.
