I could not have been cared for better. The consultant surgeon was friendly and totally professional in his approach. The anaesthetist allayed my fears of having the procedure done under spinal anaesthesia and dealt with me in a sympathetic, reassuring and hugely cheerful manner. The team of nurses on Ward 16 were helpful, efficient friendly and caring and the Physiotherapy double-act got me up and moving very swiftly indeed.

I could not have received better care. My entire experience displayed the NHS at its very best.
