"The delivery of my baby girl was ..."

About: Worthing Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked:

The delivery of my baby girl was very professional and I could not fault the staff.

What could be improved? The after care was bad, My wife was left for 6 hours on a ward with her baby, before she was seen by a midwife or nurse, she was not shown anything or even advise about breast feeding hygene etc(My wife didnt have a bath or shower for two days). My wife felt she had to ask the nursing staff, if she wanted them to do anything. Also my baby girl didnt even have a cot, the nursing staff had to find one. The worst thing was when my wife was discharged from hospital she had dangerously high blood pressure. They discharged her without any medication to go home on, consequently she was re-admitted by a midwife a few days later, where she was given medication to control blood pressure and antibiotics for a epiostomy infection.
