"A 10 month wait to have a 5 year olds boys ears..."

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

I have been waiting a full academic year for my 5 year son to have his ears treated with suction. This means that he has impaired hearing and is having increased difficulty with his phonics at school. I have rung various times. I have updated our address after moving house and as at 10 months on from initial referall no appointment has been booked for him.

No-one at the hospital seems willing or able to assist which is an absolute disgrace.

This shouldn't be a suprise. When I visited the hospital 8 years ago with my other sone who was 6 months old the doctor in A & E failed to remove him from his car seat for an examination. 3 hours later we had to admit him to Leeds A & E where he was on a drip for 3 days. I am not sure when service will improve??? However at this moment in time I would simply like my Now 6 year old son treating. I would also like someone to contact me to discuss this.
