"Ward 20"

About: Freeman Hospital

Anything else?

Having just spent a week in ward 20 for a replacement ankle, I felt that I must comment on the staff and their service.

Nothing, absolutely nothing was a problem to them. They work as a very efficient team and helped each other out when needed without having to be asked. I noticed staff doing "just one more job" even when their shifts had finished. When they had nothing to do, they found something to do. I was very impressed with this "can do" attitude throughout the staff from cleaners to doctors.

The patients always come first though and everyone is treated with the utmost care and dignity. The staff always enter the rooms with a smile and greeting (apart from one staff member whom I couldn't get his name).

The hospital is showing it's age but I was impressed with the cleaning regime and felt comforted by that.

Although there is some time before I'm fully recovered, I have come home with a very positive outlook and a feel good vibe which I can only attribute to the attitude of the brilliant, hard-working staff at ward 20.
