About: Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow)

Anything else?

The staff on the maternity ward were all fantastic. I was booked for an induction so was quite nervous but they talked me through everything. Initially, they were really busy and so no-one came to see me for a few hours once I was settled in the bed, but then one of the staff came and sat down to apologise for them being so busy, and answer any questions I had, which really put my mind at ease. When I was giving birth, the midwives were incredibly supportive and attentive. This was my second child, and although a more complicated birth, this time round it was a better experience because of the amazing staff. Thank you!

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust is working hard to improve services and ensure patients receive high quality care the first time, every time. Thank you for taking the time (even after a new arrival!) to leave positive feedback about your experience. This kind of feedback is critical to our process for continuous improvement and I know will give our doctors, nurses and other health professionals a reminder that there is always room for improvement. We are going through a phase of intensive work to modernise the environment for expectant mothers in maternity services and we hope this will further improve the overall experience for people. Do come along for a tour when you are available! For the future, if ever you have an experience where you believe we need to act on your feedback to improve or learn lessons for the future, please ensure you leave a message here or contact the Patient Experience Team on 01279 82 70 84 and we will endeavour to assist.
