"Emergency case on bank holiday weekend for severe..."

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

Anything else?

I was referred by the 111 service to my local hospital, the Dilke in the Forest of Dean, the doctor then referred me to and spoke to the duty doctor for EN&T at Gloucester Hospital. On arriving at the hospital I was seen by the triage nurse and the duty doctor for EN&T was notified I had arrived; he came to see me within a short time period. The doctor then took me up to the ward to deal with my very painful condition. I was treated courteously, the treatment explained in detail and administered with the greatest of care given the pain I was in. A follow up appointment was made for two days later, when I’m delighted to say the condition had considerably reduced due to the care I received previously.

The service I received was excellent and a prime example of how patients can be treated.

Thank you :)
