Anything else?
We would just like to give a massive thanks to all the staff that treated Patrick who was admitted to A&E on Sunday 28th May, the registrar who spoke to us was extremely charming and spoke directly to us in a caring and thorough manner (sorry we cant remember his name:(, the staff nurse in A&E was helpful and very kind, everyone introduced themselves and explained who they were. The stroke dr and specialist came down to explain that although they were not convinced he had had a stroke they had to be sure he could swallow before they allowed him drinks or food. Patrick was moved to AMU from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon, the care was exceptional and everyone was pleasant and thorough. The care nurse was a lovely caring man and extremely helpful, he chatted to us and lifted the mood by having a laugh with us, this was very much needed. It is wonderful to be around people who really care.
The tests were thorough and Patrick improved quickly throughout the week, thankfully it turned out not to be a stroke but a seizure brought on by an infection and after lots of good food and care we could take him home Friday.
Once again we would just like to give you all a hearty thanks and apologies for not knowing all your individual names but the thank you is for everyone from the Ward Sisters down to the tea girls. You were all AMAZING. The hospital is one to recommend xx
Love from all Patrick's family x
