"Arriva Ambulance"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

Anything else?

The hospital staff and volunteers were wonderful , just to make that clear . My moan is with the newly privatised ambulance service for people who cannot make their own way to hospital. I appreciate that there may be teething troubles when first taken over but the organisation of the pick ups and drop offs is sometimes next to non existent. We have encountered the good and the bad during the time we have had to use this service , the strees my Mother inlaw and my wife endured during our last use was unacceptable . The ambulance turned up half an hour after the time of her appointment nearly causing her appointment to be cancelled and rescheduled . Other times we have had to rely on this service have been spot on , but the worry of whether you are going to get the good service or the bad service outweighs the praise for the good parts of the service . In no way is this moan directed at the drivers or staff who operate the service , who we have always found to be very proffesional. The organisation of this service needs to be looked at , when it is good it is excellent , when it is bad it borders on chaos .
