"my privacy was not maintained"

I'm a VERY nervous/phobic dental patient and had explained everything on my pre check up form. I felt like this had not been read as the dentist did not appear to be taking any of my comments into account. They made no allowances for my nerves and just went through the appointment. They ended every sentence with 'OK? ' but didn't wait for any reply that it wasn't ok!

They hurt me upon examination and then proceeded to tell me that the treatment I required would hurt even more - didn't exactly give me the confidence to return.

My privacy was not maintained either - during the appointment, while in a stressed condition the door was left open allowing a small child to gawp at me in tears which just added to my stress and frustration at being treated so poorly. Not impressed.
