About: Royal Victoria Hospital (Folkestone) (Folkestone)

(as the patient),

What I liked

I visited the hospital after receiving an animal bite which had pierced the skin and caused a lot of bleeding and pain. I rang NHS Direct who advised me to see my GP asap, on ringing my doctors that has no 5 minute emergency appointment to i went to Royal Victoria Folkestone walk in centre. On entering the hospital i was greeted by a really friendly receptionist who booked me in and told me to goto a clean comfy waiting room. I had only to wait 45 minutes to be called into a secure area. Upon moving through the security doors i was asked to sanitise my hands with a special handwash that was by the door. From there i was taken into theroom where the nurse sat down with me and i explained what happened! She pulled up my file and explained what was going to happen. she then treated the problem and advised me what to do next. She was really friendly and helpful so thank you goes out to her. The Royal Victoria Hospital was a real Godsend today and you could tell it was clean as it looked and smelt it! Thank You RVH!
