"The stay and treatment received."

About: Glenfield Hospital / Cardiology Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I suffered an Angina attack whilst at work and had to be sent to the Queens Hospital in Burton for treatment. The care that I received could not have been better. The staff on every level could not have done any more for me, and stepped up to the mark when it was needed. I had an Angiogram, in the new facility that has just opened at Burton, which previously would have had to be done at Glenfield or Stoke Hospital.

This in turn showed the problem that needed to be rectified. Without delay I was sent to Glenfield to have stents fitted. This procedure is not yet available at Burton, but it maybe one day. I am now back at home and recovering well from my ordeal. I would just like to say a big 'thank you' to everyone involved a superb job, well done.

Many thanks for your comments. We are delighted to hear that you were happy with the care you received at Queen’s Hospital and that you are now on the road to recovery. As you mention, Angioplasty is not currently available at Queen’s, however we are currently working towards being able to offer this to our patients within the next few months. We appreciate your feedback and wish you well in your recuperation.
