I was rushed in a few weeks ago with a raised heart rate and general unwell feeling. On arrival there was no queue but the ladies behind the desk were not paying attention and I was left standing there for about 5mins until they called me over!! However, after I gave my details I was seen very quickly and got taken straight from Triage into majors and rather than just the usual fob off with a BP check and sent home, I was given a full MOT. Blood tests, ECG, chest X-Rays the lot. All came back clear but the care I received was brilliant, I am petrified of needles and the Dr was so patient. I also had a lovely nurse that did my ECG and monitored my heart rate, chatting to me to keep me calm the whole time.

Not every visit I have had to A&E has been like this but this visit definitely restored my faith. Just think they need to be a bit more aware at Reception!!
