"Very professional"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Anything else?

I reluctantly went to A&E on a Sunday afternoon with pain in my genitals. I felt rather embarrassed and believed that staff would probably say go home and rest, as my condition was not 'life-threatening'.

I was nervous in the waiting room and it was rather hot and stuffy. After about 45 minutes, the triage nurse called my name and was very warm in his greeting. I was pleasantly impressed when he took me and my complaint so seriously and directed me to the Urgent Care Centre to be seen.

Feeling a bit more at ease I went there and was asked to do a urine sample in a pot they gave me. Shortly afterwards, I was seen by the Nurse Practitioner who was very calm and also gave me thorough advice on treatment.

I felt so glad I went afterwards. Thank you so much - you really did make me feel at ease.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your positive feedback on your experience when attending A&E and our Urgent Care Centre. We are pleased to hear how warm and empathetic our staff were towards you, and how this helped you to feel more at ease. We will ensure that it is shared with the teams concerned, which will undoubtedly be gratefully received. We also hope that you have made a good recovery.
