"Samuel Johnson Midwife-led Unit gave me a labour experience to remember"

About: Samuel Johnson Community Hospital

(as the patient),

Samuel Johnson was recommended to me & after a totally appalling treatment from start to finish at Good Hope hospital, I investigated the option.

My GP midwife (who I consider to the useless) was unable to book me into the correct hospital & so I ended up contacting SJ myself, whereas the staff, from receptionists to midwives (with the exception of one ) were outstanding in both service & empathy.

I had the fortune of seeing Karen twice and she made me focus & got me through my fast labour with care & compassion. Her assistant was so kind all through the early hours and we were fed & looked after exceptionally well.

I had previously encountered a problem with a midwife from another region who had moved there & she was kept away from me at my request every time I visited & was even offered the community midwife if she was on duty.

I cannot recommend this place enough for your birth.

You are treated with the utmost respect, beautiful rooms & friendly staff. You wouldn't get a better treatment if you were paying privately.

Well done SJ. You gave me an experience to remember.
