What I liked

Last Wednesday I went to London and had a nasty accident. I tripped up on a paving slab in Lambeth and fell headlong. Blood flowed from nose, hand, knee...taxis refused to stop (no doubt thinking I might bleed to death in their cab!). I returned to Paddock Wood in some considerable pain and my wife insisted on takin me to the A&E at the Kent & Sussex Hospital. I was seen remarkably quickly at Minor Accidents and thoroughly examined, cleaned up properly and my left hand was x-rayed. It was broken in two positions and put in a half cast. Everything was explained to me in easy language and I was given further appointments. I cannot praise enough the kindness of the staff, their professionalism and efficiency. Despite being very busy, they gave their patients full and totally sympathetic attention. Their action restored my faith in the NHS and I shall always remain grateful.

What could be improved

Car parking at the Kent & Sussex could be improved and made cheaper. The walk from the car parking area to the A & E is uphill and does not help those who are feeling weak and in pain.
