"Atrial Fibrillation - couldn't have asked for..."

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

Anything else?

Was admitted yesterday (28/4) with heart palpitations. Was diagnosed as atrial fibrillation which was quite a worry for someone of my age.

Whilst all the nurses who looked after me were superstars, one in particular who looked after me was one of the finest examples of NHS staff I've ever come into contact with. They were warm, friendly, made me laugh even though I faced being sedated and shocked to regulate my heartbeat and was so supportive to myself and my family in explaining what was going on.

I fully intend on writing a letter of compliment regarding this nurse because I've visited a lot of hospitals in the last two years due to my grandfather being incredibly unwell and their approach to patients, attention to detail and care went above and beyond my expectations.

You've a stunning member of staff there!

Thanks to everyone who was so nice to me.

I'm home and resting now with all my next steps explained. Thank you for being a shining example of patient care in the NHS.
