We have been trying to find out what was making our daughter sick since February, our local hospital (QMC) repeatedly misdiagnosed and then accused her of self harming. She has lost just under a quarter of her body weight in 2 months. The QMC also gave our daughter high strength tramadol which caused her to have a fit.

We were referred to Newark on 16/4/2013, Charlotte was seen by a Consultant who was absolutely fantastic as were all the nursing team. The Consultant recommended an Endoscopy which was done on the 26th by another doctor. The team explained everything clearly to Charlotte beforehand so she wasn't scared and diagnosed a tear in her stomach plus a hiatus hernia. Treatment was also clearly explained so we now know what to do.

All in all everybody we met at Newark Hospital was fantastic, everybody was friendly and appeared to take pride in what they do.
