"TRAQs means I don't get to see the person who knows me and my history"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I despair. Resources are supposed to be more efficient. My consultant agreed to put me back for more physio on my last visit to see him. I expected to go back to the physio who had been looking after me for the past 12 months - with great success with physio and acupuncture.

My GP then put in the TRAQs queue which means I don't get to see the person who knows me and my history. I will have to start all over again, wasting her time and mine.

Why 2 systems with yet another level of admin?

Thank you for taking the time to provide TRAQS with your feedback.

I am sorry that your experience of TRAQS is negative. The referral process is thatTRAQS receives your referral from your GP and will action the referral according to your GP's instructions. Therefore, if your GP requests for your referral to be seen by a specfic consultant than we will forward the request onto the said person. Once the referral has been processed within TRAQS we aim to contact the patient within 5 working days and offer choice of where you can go for your treatment and we aim to do our best to meet your needs.

As I do not have access to your referral to comment, if you would like to contact TRAQS on 01952 580466 to discuss further, I will be happy to help.
