"hate hospitals, But Nurse.s made my stay enjoyable..."

About: The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford)

Anything else?

I was admitted to telford hospital on the 18th april 2013, next day onto ward 7. gastro, even thou I went in with pain in chest !. donot like hospitals ! but I have got to praise the nursing staff were great and I mean Great, they made my stay bearable ! even thou my notes from shrewsbury got lost, and a ward clerk off another ward offered to go and find them, because inside I had test results from previous test concerning chest pain !. I she did find them. but inside the results where not put in my notes or gone missing, so this caused me stress plus had to stay in alll over the weekend till things got sorted out. but this was not the nursing fault. they kept me calm. I found they went out of there way to get my health and any others promblem sorted in the best way they could and out of there working hours ! I would say ward 7 was a very happy ward all down to the hard working nursing. Well done, and thank you all, I could say few of your names, but will not because you all were great ! always think laughter makes you recover quicker !!!! I will finish this letter saying please head of hospital sort your selves out !

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your care and treatment at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital. I will be very happy to pass on your kind comments regarding the care you received from the nurses on Ward 7.

Our aim is to provide the highest standards of care for every patient, every time, and we are very sorry to hear your concerns about your medical records and test results. Your comments have been sent to the Clinical Manager for the department concerned.

Unfortunately the Patient Opinion website does not share your contact details with the Trust, so we would encourage you to contact us so that we can look into the issues that you have raised in more detail.

The easiest way to do this is by calling our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01952 282888 or visiting their office near the Main Entrance.

They aim to: provide advice and support to patients, their families and carers; listen to your concerns, suggestions or queries; and, help sort out problems quickly on your behalf. If you wish to make a formal complaint then the PALS service will be able to provide you with more information about how to do this. You can also find out more on the Trust website at www.sath.nhs.uk/patient_information/complaints.asp.

Thank you once again for taking the time and trouble to provide feedback via the NHS Choices website. We look forward to hearing from you so that we can look into the issues you have raised in more detail.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It is great to hear that the staff on Ward 7 provided you with great care even though you do not like hospitals. We are working hard to improve access to notes - our aim is that many more notes and results are available electronically so that are immediately at your bedside wherever you arrive for care.
