"Endemic carelessness- belongings of vulnerable 90..."

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

Anything else?

My aunt was recently in this hospital for a month. She went in with one infection, caught another when she was in there, and the hospital was then locked down because of an outbreak of another bug.

Happily she survived all this but the staff at the hospital managed to lose all the belongings she came in with (her clothes, coat, boots, handbag, watch, glasses) and they have never been seen since. They also appear to have mislaid the additional slippers and clothes brought in for her as she was discharged without them as well!

She perhaps has an excuse. She is almost 90, frail, sometimes confused and without her glasses she can't see. What is the hospital's excuse? Despite what it says online about the how the ward staff "Listen, Help, Care and Unite as a Team to put you the patient first, enabling us to provide a service that is better for you", no one seems to have listened much since my aunt's property disappeared and nobody seems to care much either. My aunt is now considerably worse off materially than she was when she went into that hospital and so far no one from the hospital has addressed this.
