"Care was second to none. All ..."

About: Milton Keynes Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Care was second to none. All the nurses and doctors I came into contact with were friendly, respectful and, when required, very helpful. Let us not forget the domestic staff such as the tea ladies, cleaners, porters and staff in the shops. Everyone pulled together as a great team.

At 42 years old, I have never been admitted to hospital before so this was a whole new experience - and a good one. Not one I want to go through again though (no offence team).

I was well looked after in a clean, safe and friendly environment. The food was pretty good too but you can also buy sandwiches and hot snacks near reception if you can manage the 19 walk down there from ward 18.

Overall, WELL DONE to all at MKGH and our precious NHS.

What could be improved

Zero tolerance towards smoking needs to applied around outside pavements, bus shelters and car parks - there are sick people in this hospital.

On the spot fines maybe? Get parking attendants to double up as fag-finers?
