On 2nd April I underwent knee replacement surgery at North Tyneside General Hospital. I cannot find fault with the treatment i received from addmission to discharge by all departments. I would especially like to extend my thanks to all staff on Ward 8 who made my stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. Their professionalism shone through at all levels.

Can I say first of all that I hope you are well and making excellent progress after your knee replacement. I’m very pleased that you have taken the time to let us know about your recent stay with us. It is very satisfying for us to hear of our patients having such a fantastic experience for the entire duration of their care- as you say from admission to discharge. I hope that you are continuing to get excellent treatment as part of your after care. I will pass on your comments to everyone concerned, particularly the team on ward 8 who will be delighted to hear that their hard work and commitment has not gone unnoticed.
