"Alls Well That Ends Well - tendon rupture"

About: Selly Oak Hospital (Acute) / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

In the grand scheme of things, there are many annoying things that happen during the course of treatment at the hospital. I believe in making these complaints known, but I also believe in that any good points should also be suitably noted.

For my quadriceps tendon rupture at Selly Oak hospital, I was pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the doctors who were actually there for me, to answer every question I had, and kept me informed and up to date with progress.

While I had some hassles during my out patients appointments, I was happy that I was able to (eventually) contact Mr Cooper who saw me in his clinic the very next day and provide me with all the information that I needed - including the fact that I should not be doing Straight Leg Raises as advised by my physiotherapist.

I do believe I should have been given this information in the first place, but all credit is due to Mr Cooper, and my sincerest thanks for seeing me so quickly.

Thanks

Simon
