We always value feedback so thank you very much for providing it. This has been a very busy winter across the NHS which has placed pressure on the number of beds available in our hospitals. We are conscious that this has also placed extra demands on nurses and other frontline staff. We really encourage staff to raise any concerns they may have and we listen to what they tell us.

As a result, we’re recruiting a significant number of additional nurses right across the Trust to make sure we have the right numbers in post. This is a rolling programme of recruitment so we don’t experience staff shortages whenever someone leaves. We are also reviewing staffing levels in light of the increased number of frail older people being admitted to hospital, many of whom have complex health needs that require additional nursing time.
