Anything else?
I gave birth to a healthy baby boy thanks to a lovely midwife and doctor. The midwife was friendly, polite, assertive and professional. She put me at instant ease and made me feel confident and in control. The doctor was fantastic at stitching me up afterwards, I have a fear of needles and am sure I'm not the best patient to do such a prrocedure on, yet I feel more like myself now than I did after the birth of my first child. I'd also like to say that the new labour ward rooms are lovely, the ensuite facilities are marvelous, and it's a much better environment to give birth in. I spent a few days afterwards in hospital, I received excellent care on Ward 23, the staff were kind and the ward had a relaxed homely feel to it that made me feel welcome and looked after.
