Anything else?
After my wife experienced a brain aneurysm in November 2007 and was rushed from Clacton to Queens hospital where the skill of the surgeons, HDU and Sahara Ward staff enabled her to make a full recovery.
At the time my thanks seemed so inadequate as a reflection of the dedication, care and courtesy shown by all the staff we came into contact with during this difficult period.
Unfortunately, my wifes final MRA scan at the 5 year stage indicated a small leak at the original aneurysm coil and she would need further surgery to rectify the problem.
On the 21st March 2013 further sucessful surgery was carried out.
The reason i feel prompted to write to you is that our second experience not only endorsed our first experienced but exceeded it.
From all of the consultant's team, particularly the operating surgeon who was so friendly and re-assuring,the hard working HDU nurses and the cheerful and always attentive Sahara Ward B nurses.
An additional observation was that any member of the hospital staff I encountered was pleasant and helpful. For example on one of my visits i got lost in one of the many corridors of this large hospital and without prompting a cleaner asked if he could assist
and directed me in the right direction.
It appears 'to coin a phrase' that the staff at all levels are singing from the same hymn sheet to make patients and visitors feel at ease and as comfortable as possible in what can be a daunting enviroment and a difficult time.
I hope theese few comments are of value to you.
