What I liked
Most of the staff were kind and sympathetic but I feared they were stretched too far by all they had to do. The heavy procedure to replace the morphine drip took half an hour and seemed to leave the poor nurse worn out.
What could be improved
The old fashioen drugs trolley, where one nurse gave out the painkillers would be more efficient than 4 nurses running after the drugs for us 4 patients.
After my hysterectomy I was given no advice about eating. I wish that I'd been advised not to eat anything solid for a few days. My midwife friend said that she was shocked that I'd been given solid food so soon after an operation and wasn't surprised that I'd had such terrible constipation.
