"A night in Urology"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

Although most of the staff were kind and helpful they were clearly grossly overworked and due to a stortage of staff couldn't attend to the needs of their patients. On occasion nobody came to help when someone pressed their red help button . I saw pateints who required help with feeding left to fend for themselves. No one cleaned my ward in the 24h I was there. Quite frankly I was pretty shocked by the overall standard of care!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments.

We are sorry to hear of your poor experience on the urology ward, which falls below the standard we expect for our patients. We endeavour to provide safe and appropriate staffing levels at all times, however this does not appear to be your experience. It is difficult to identify the ward specifically from your feedback therefore if you could contact me on email Georgina.Kenney@uhl-tr.nhs.uk to identify the ward I can feedback directly to the team.

Thanks

George Kenney, lead nurse for urology
