About: Good Hope Hospital

Anything else?

Mum remains in the Richard Salt Unit, ward 9. None of the patients can have visitors as the ward has been closed - there is a suspected outbreak of Noro virus (see my previous remarks about handwash, though it is supplied in the wards). As usual, the staff are very helpful (on the phone) but it is unpleasant for the inmates as, for the most part, the elderly patients are immobile, and without visitors, what is there for them to do? They brought mum to the phone so that we could talk.
