I recently had an operation on my left bunion at Holmevalley Memorial Hospital in Holmfirth West Yorkshire. The surgery was over in 40 minutes and was fantastic. The team at the hospital are fantastic and friendly and make sure you know what's happening every step of the way. They were all very confident and calm and made me feel at ease throughout each stage. I am in my 30s and have arthritis in both big toes so having this operation was not for vanity or fashion but to improve the standard of my life. I am not sure I could afford both doing privately so the fact that this option is available on the NHS is great, and I believe should remain an option to people in the future.
