"Impressive follow up service"

About: Royal United Hospital

Anything else?

My Mum was diagnosed and operated on at the RUH for bowel cancer in 2003.

Since then she has been recalled for regular colonoscopies to ensure all is ok.

Her last investigation was now several years ago and, as she turned 80 last June and is now 10 years post treatment she assumed that her follow ups would cease and she would basically be permanantly discharged.

This is not the case, she has an appointment next week to ensure there is no reoccurance and she has not been written off, so to speak, despite her great age.

You are clearly doing a grand job and should be pleased that a load of things either don't need fixing or are fixed already.

Thank you

Thank you for your comments and we are delighted that your experiences of care at the RUH have been to the standard we want all our patients to receive.
