Anything else?
This weekend my daughter (aged 20) had a very severe allergic reaction to her friends dogs - her face and eye completed swelled up and she was having trouble breathing (she luckily had her inhaler with her) so her friend took her to A & E at Good Hope - the receptionist was completely unhelpful sending her to 'majors', when she got there a nurse said 'we're full - go back to reception', back at reception she was told 'it's at least a 3 - 5 hour wait' so she gave up and went home. She got some antihistamines and that relieved the swelling a bit.
She then went to our GP the next day who was very shocked that the hospital hadnt dealt with her immediately on arrival to hospital. she said it was obviously is was a very serious allergic reaction!
The GP said next time she should call 999!
"GP apologised for A&E staff's total disregard!"
