My initial phonecall was quickly directed to a triage nurse who dealt competently with me and asked me to attend the eye clinic as soon as possible. On arriving, I was seen by a triage nurse within minutes and a consultant shortly after. He was kind and considerate setting my mind at rest.

The clinic itself had a brisk and efficient feel to it and the time from initial registration to leaving having seen the consultant took less than 60 minutes.

We do try very hard to make sure that patients presenting with acute eye problems are seen by the right person at the right time.
