After all the negative news re the NHS it was a great surprise to be so totally impressed with the service, the staff and the general attitude of helpfulness on my first ever visit to an A & E. I went in having been recommended by NHS DIrect to go straight to A &E with a very insistent 24 hr nose bleed and was dealt with in an excellent manner despite the receptionist warning me it could be a long wait. A doctor sorted my problem, spent time explaining the cause and gave me options of how to deal with the issue. My commendations to you all and I will certainly spread the good word. Emma Goad
